PAPER PHOTOSHOOT
Fot this task we had to take photos with a bridge camera by folding peices of paper to make edges and other kinds of shapes, me and Marshal made a background with a3 paper to make it look better. Here are our results....
The paper shoot was an enjoyable experience as I didn't not expect the outcomes I made. I didn't think my photos were as successful as I wanted them to be because there were only a few photos I really liked.
My most successful photo is 4th column down and 3rd picture. The reason I have picked out this image is because it has good contrast of light and shadows and there is more that one focal point. If you look closely you can see that I have captured a mid point, background point and close up focus point.
The image (8th column down and 1st picture) was not great because it looks rushed and it doesn't show the lights, mid tone and shadows.
CLASSROOM PHOTOSHOOT
In this task we were asked to take photos of edges in the classroom.
This photoshoot was very enjoyable because i got to learn more ablaut bridge cameras and i was pleased about the outcome.
the images that I'm happy with are the mirror photos, i like these photos because they are abstract and show a good use of light. It also shows foreground and background.
PAPER PHOTOSHOOT 2
For this shoot we did the exact same as we did as the last photo shoot but this time we improved on it.
BEST IMAGE: (1st row 2nd one) I have selected this photo because it looks very abstract and it makes it look like it isn't paper. I also like it because the light makes the shadows different shades from white to black.
WORST IMAGE: (4th row down, 3rd one) i don't like this photo that much because it doesn't look as abstract and you can tell it is paper.
WWW:I am very pleased with the overall outcome, this is because the contrast between light and dark from my last shoot is a huge improvement because it looks more abstract. I am also pleased with the way we used the torch to create foregrounds, background and shadows.
EBI: I personally think I should have explored further with light as i have taken all dark and low light photos. To improve on my images, next time I will try to change the angle and perspective of the torch/light to make it more abstract.v
OLD PHOTOS AND EDGES
This wasn't a photoshoot as such... for this, we had old pictures of a couple in the 1940s and we had to create multiple edges by cutting, moving and and more. we looked at other artists work to give us inspiration. Here are some
Almer Haser is a German photographer. She was born into a very artistic family so that's why she might have decided to be a photographer. She uses paper origami to create absract photos of people.
I personaly think her work is very inspiring but creepy at the same time, I think it is cool how she uses paper origarmi of a previous photo. I also like the way that all of the "models" are very plain faced to give the effect. I also like the way the backgrounds are plain and the same and the "models" have a bright coloured top on to draw atention to them.
I am interested in her approach to edges because it is very abstract and also she is not just using editing soft whare, she is using origami, i could learn from by not always using softwhare and using other recorces like paper. The theme of edges in these photos are creating multipul edges from only having one. Now i will try to not always use photoshop as a 1st resort because its more creative.
* Describe what you can see... i can see a young girl who has 2 faces and flowers around her head. * Which of the Formal Elements are most important .... i would say focus because its a portraight and you want to focus the picture on that person and nothing else ( also plain background), also, patern and shape because you have the pattern of the flowers and the shape of the two heads *What do you find unusual/interesting ? how she has created more edges by moving the head shape and putting flowers in replacement. * What question do have for the artist? what decided you to create all these weird photos in the first place ? *What title would you give this work?explain why...... i would call this work FLOWER GIRL because she has flowers around her head and it remindes me of a flower crown
IMAGE ANALYSIS
END OF TERM ASSESMENT
For the end of term assesment, we was asked to creaste an abstract peice by using our paper photoshoot 2 pictures.
I decided to cut each of my photos into 4 equal squares atach and then cut 1 triangel into each of the 8 squares. After that I muddeled up the 8 squares and atacked them together. Then I wanted to make it more abstract, so with the triagels I cut out, I organised them around the sheet of paper, but then I noticed it was to dark so i wanted to add more colour to it. So what I did was I got a phtotgraphy book and took out a photo of the sky and a some writing at the back of the book, then I stuck them behind the original photo and I trimed it. over all I thought this was a very good idea because it has light and dark and makes the paice more abstract.
After that, I thought my work was to small and I wanted to brighten it up more, so I decided to get some cool photos from a photography book, trim them and then make a background with them. So what I did was I got 6 photos and placed them on a a3 piece of paper. the overerall outcome was very good because it had a good contracts with the dark photo.
The final outcome
I am every happy with the outcome, it looks very abstract and is eye catching. It could have been more neat around the edges in the triangle and on the photos but i am pleased with the final outcome.
PHOTOSHOP EXPEREMENT
In this task we was shown how to used edges in photoshop, our task was to get a photo and create edges inside the photo. This was my outcome.....
FRANK/VITTURI ESSAY
The photographs are very different from one another, a we can tell the first picture is very dark and has a big contrast to the second one. The first picture makes you feel sad and scared. This is because of the dark shades also the props and font, for example; the blood dripping like font makes the person looking at this picture feel insecure and worried. In addition, the scary doll and the mirrors make the picture feel spooky. Finaly the black and white filter make the shadows and bright lights stand out more. The second picture is very different to the first as it is very bright, this makes you feel happy and cheerful. I personaly find this one quite random as there is spaghetti on the table and a brick, however this could be intentonal to make the viewer feel curious about whats going on in the photo. Thurther more i think that the brightness dosent show shadows but that shows more shadows. Both pictures are weird in there own ways. In the second picture i find it weird how there is a brick and spaghetti, also there is no meaning to it.
Some of the simularities between the pictures are that they both have multipul edges. For example; the mirros had edges but also the brick has edges. Some differences are the the lighting in the first one is very dark but the second one is very light. Another simularity is they both have some sort of object in the photos. HAVE NOT FINISHED
SCHOOL PHOTOSHOOT.
For this task, we was asked to go outside and take photos of edges with a camera. I was pleased with my outcome but there are some im not to sure about.

CONSTATINA BOOK FINAL OUTCOME.
Im not to pleased with my final outcome of the book as it is very rushed and not to neat, the photos are not that bad as i realy like the outcome of the photos but not the book.
ASSESMENT
On the last day of term, the class was asked to take 2 photos from the table and take photos of them photos is serveral ways. here are my outcomes that i am happy with.
EVALUATION
WWW: I am happy of how the outcome has happened, my photo is the first and the second one because there is a contrast between foucus at foreground and not focus at background.
EBI: Tried a different photo instead of the same one.
EDGES FINAL OUTCOME 2
This was a long term assessment to see what we could make by the end of the term, i made 2 final outcome and my theme was newspapers.
Outcome 1
STEP BY STEP: I first started by get news papers and putting them i the A3 tray of the pinter and printed the pictures of the old people on top, some of them came out good and some bad. I gathers all the good ones and laude them out and with the bad ones i cut circle in them and left them to a side. Then i got a A2 card and cut multiple circles into them then layer the card onto of the newspapers, after that i spray painted some of the circles from the card green and some i put the newspaper circles that i didn't like. From there i placed them in unusual places to create more edges.
WWW; ~ I liked the green because it brings out the colours and makes it ore bright.
